The Value Of A Life

Apparently, the GOP expects us to give-up our very lives in order to "save the Market."

Okay. Let's break it down:

A)  A market is not a living being. It cannot die. Right?

B)  Markets go up and down. They always have, always will. They can recover from recessions and depressions. always have, always will. Right?

C)  Humans, on the other hand, can die. And, Human life is uncalculably more valuable than any amount of money (unless U R the stereotypical  Republican). Right?

D) If any economy slows or comes to a complete halt, it can be revived. Right?

E) If people die, they cannot be revived. They remain dead. Permanently. Forever. Right?

F) Those dead people had lives, just like you ... family, friends, careers, etc. They loved and were loved by many, many people. They will be greatly missed and mourned. Right?

G) While some of the sick will die, the fortunate will recover. Right?

H) We currently have NO CURE for Covid-19. Right?

I) Had this occured in an earlier time in human history (before scientific knowledge of germs), it could have literally wiped-out a large portion of the Earth's total population (it already has with us, and we're suppossed to know better). Right?

QUESTIONS:

1) Is it possible to have a loving relationship with money? If you love it, can it love you back?

2)  If you value money and things over people, then exactly how much is one person worth to you? Could/would you buy or sell a person on your Market, if the price was right?

3) You will never know or love most of the people who will die. Is that why you might value the market over people?

4) What if the death toll included everyone you know?... EVERYONE YOU LOVE? dead within the next two weeks?

IMAGINE IT. Just try to imagine what that kind of pain would be like. You can't even Imagine your level of grief and sorrow, can you?

Would you even be able to survive it? ... start over from scratch, with all new people to love, to live with, to work with, etc?

This is precisely why I could never vote or be a Republican. I value human life more than a dollar. I'm sure a Rep will comment to explain how I'm wrong. That's fine.

AMERICA FIRST:

Which brings me to another complaint about the GOP: for some strange reason, they are incapable of thinking BOTH/AND. In their world it's only EITHER/OR.

"Either I win or they win. There must be a loser for me to win." COULD WE POSSIBLY CONSIDER A WIN/WIN SITUATION? Wouldn't that be best for everyone?

Couldn't we consider saving BOTH the people AND the market? ... (knowing  that if we ever have to choose EITHER/OR, a person always takes priority over a dollar).

THE LESSON:

As inhabitants of this precious planet, we will get through this, one way or another. I hope that it is now clear just how connected we are. Even our so-called Enemies are part of us.

When we let them die, we die. We think we're separated from their suffering. THAT IS OUR SUFFERING... literally, it is yours.

Can you imagine if the entire world attacked this problem together, from the beginning? We'd all be over this by now. It prolly wouldn't have even made it to my neighborhood or my country.

But, no. Those people aren't worth saving. It doesn't matter if they live or die. And now, here we are, literally fighting for our lives, while hundreds of thousands countinue to die needlessly, with no end in sight. Not yet.

This makes snowflakes like me cry. The pain and violence that we inflict on each other has to stop! I cannot believe the selfishness of my brothers and sisters.

This is not the kind of world I want to live in.

But, we're here. And, again we're presented with the same lesson to learn as before. Lessons repeat until we live what we learn. Until then, it will hurt. We suffer, and blame others for our problem, thereby justifying our hatred and murder of our brothers.

CONCLUSION:

In conclusion ... shit, i dunno. I've only managed to briefly describe the problem, giving no solutions. I may write about that later.

But, what I do know is that while we separate physically in order to solve this problem, the solution lies somewhere in spiritual unity. A realized Oneness. Not Two. NO ONE LEFT BEHIND. NOT A SINGLE ONE.

Starting from there, we may actually have a fighting chance. Other than that, let's hope that we live in a simulation. And, none of this is real.
